<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the blockade of an air diffuser over a long period and to filter activated sludge stably by setting up the cross-sectional area of a branch pipe in which the gas spouting hole of the air diffusing apparatus and the cross-sectional area of a main pipe to which the branch pipe is connected in specified conditions. SOLUTION: Air diffusing pipes lead air from a blower and extend it into an aeration tank, among them, a pair of main pipes 8 which extended inside the aeration tank horizontally is installed, branch pipes 9 which installed with gas spouting holes 10 formed between the main pipes 8 are installed in the main pipes 8 with the end parts opened. The cross-sectional area of the main pipe 8 of the air diffusing pipe is made larger than that of the branch pipe 9 of the air diffusing pipe. In this way, since the pressure of gas to be supplied to each branch pipe 9 can be made uniform, and the dispersion of a gas spouting pressure in each gas spouting hole 10 can be eliminated, the inflow of sludge from the holes 10 of a low gas spouting pressure is prevented, and the blockage of the holes 10 can be prevented over a long period.</p> |
