<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polishing machine for sharply reducing an installation space and the trouble of cleaning. SOLUTION: A work piece is polished by nippedly holding a circular carrier 2 holding a workpiece between lower and upper surface plates 52 and 51, and engaging the outer peripheral gear part of the carrier 2 with center and internal gears 1 and 3 to planetarily turn the carrier 2. The upper surface of shade-like cover bodies 8A and 8B for covering the machine driving part of a polishing machine is provided with weir members 81 formed of a spiral flow passage P from the top part of the upper surface to the foot. An abradant flowing down along the passage P is retained in the inner peripheral part of the passage P to sink and separate abradant devris in the abradant in the retained part.</p> |
