PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a coating composition prevented from foaming development in the coating film formation process for acid-epoxy-based coating materials. SOLUTION: This coating composition comprises (A) a compound having two or more epoxy groups in one molecule, (B) a compound having two or more carboxyl groups in one molecule, and (C) ester-based compound of the formula R1COOR2 and/or ketone-based compound of the formula R1COR2 (one of R1 and R2 is a 6-18C alkyl, the other being a 1-3C alkyl).
