PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide underwear having a structure where a size around the waist is adjustable so as to be enlarged by untying an openable seam provided in the neighborhood of a backside seam in the underwear. SOLUTION: This underwear is constituted in such a way that an openable seam is basted from a stitch-starting point in the end part of the crotch in a nearly parallel state down to a backside seam in the back of the underwear and can removably be untied in succession. Thus, it is possible to easily and firmly cope with the case, where the enlargement of a size around the waist is needed, by untying the openable seam and the underwear has not a sense of incongruity and is finished without impairing outward appearance and attractiveness.
