PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a mold which stabilizes in a short time without needing to heat to so high temp. and restrains the use of harmful chemical material and the development of harmful gas by filling resin coated sand, mixing and adjusting thermosetting resin binder into refractory aggregate into the mold, injecting steam into this mold and hardening the binder. SOLUTION: A cock 8 in an air supplying pipe 9 with cock 8 connected with a hopper 7 is changed over from the closing to the opening and the air is injected into the hopper 7 and pressurized to fill the resin coated sand 2 into the mold 1. Thereafter, the hopper 7 is taken off from a pouring hole 4 in the mold 1 and also, a steam pipe 10 in connected and the steam is injected into a cavity 3 for forming in the mold 1 by opening the cock 11. The steam is passed through grains of the sand 2 in the mold 1 and after heating the sand 2, the steam is exhausted from a vent hole 6 through a net 5. In this way, the sand 2 in the mold 1 is instantaneously heated and hardened by promoting the hardening of the thermosetting binder.
