PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an agitator free from the co-turn of foodstuffs together with an agitation vane for preventing the gathering of foodstuffs ad the center of a heating kettle or leaving non-agitated foodstuff by applying the constitution that agitation vanes on the end of an agitation shaft inserted in a heating kettle are made to give a unique motion respectively. SOLUTION: A drive transmission shaft 5 rotated on the operation of an electric motor, and agitation vanes 19a laid on the lower end of an agitation drive shaft 15 interlocked with the drive transmission shaft 5 are inserted in a heating kettle 2 for agitation. In this case, a support arm 17 is provided at the lower end of an agitation drive shaft so as to be capable of freely turning in a vertical direction, in such a state as preventing the turn of the agitation drive shaft radially extended. Also, at least one agitation vane inclined at a preset angle for moving an agitation object in an axial direction is attached to the front end of the support arm 17. Furthermore, the lower end of the agitation vane is formed t suit the inner bottom shape of the heating kettle and the agitation drive shaft is provided with an energization means 16A for energizing and causing the lower end of the agitation vane to come in slidable contact with the heating kettle at all times.
