PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an agricultural mulching method excellent in heat retaining properties and shading properties without requiring time for construction and capable of exhibiting fertilizing effects by tilling in a firm field after use and to obtain an agricultural mulching agent. SOLUTION: This agricultural mulching method is to scatter a mixture comprising (A) one or more of recycled wastes selected from composts obtained from carbonized products of organic sludge and organic wastes, (B) a binder comprising a semi-synthetic macromolecule or a natural macromolecule, (C) one or more of fiber-containing materials selected from opened old paper and (D) water.
