PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a throw away tip to which a structure by which separation or falling off of a cutting edge member from a mounting part during cutting a workpiece in condition where a cutting tool is mounted, can be effectively prevented, is advantageously given without causing deterioration or degradation of diamond material constituting a cutting edge part. SOLUTION: A recessed part 24 into which a base part 32 of a cutting edge member 14 having a cutting edge part 26 made of diamond material at the top can be fitted, is provided at the base part side portion of a mounting part 20 for a tip body 12 to which the cutting edge member 14 is to be mounted, in the form of undercut. Then, the cutting edge member 14 is brazed to the mounting part 20 in state where the base part 32 of the cutting edge member 14 is fitted into the recessed part 24, and the base part 32 is engaged with the recessed part 24.
