PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foam extinguishing method of wide extinguishing range and high extinguishing performance by injecting a foam aqueous solution prepared by mixing an aqueous film foam extinguisher drug and water from a spray head, making the same collided with a deflector to be scattered, and specifying a mixing ratio of the aqueous film foam extinguisher drug in the foam aqueous solution. SOLUTION: A mixer mixes extinguishing water fed from a feed water source and an aqueous film foam extinguisher drug fed from a stock solution tank and prepares a foam aqueous solution including 6% of aqueous film foam extinguisher drug. In the fire, alcohol 17 in a glass tube 16 in a spray head 5 is thermally expanded, and the glass tube 16 is exploded. Whereby a fire sensing operation part 10 loses its valve element supporting function, and a valve element 7 is released. Then the foam aqueous solution is jetted from the spray head 5, collided with a collision part of a deflector 12 for foaming, and scattered toward the flame. That is, the flame is double sealed by the aqueous film and the fine foam, and extinguished by suffocating because air supply is cut off.
