PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a block which gives a high strength to a structure in which the block is piled one on another and has high freedom in exterior designs of the structure, and also to provide a method for pilling the block one on another. SOLUTION: This block 10 has a basic structure composed of two hypothetical cylinders 11 of the same shape connected to each other in such a way as to have their axes a1 and a2 run in parallel, wherein distance between the axes a1 and a2 is set identical to diameter (d) of the hypothetical cylinder 11. Even when a block 10 is rotated on a joint rod 15, the hypothetical cylinders 11 above and below the rotated block 10 are kept overlapped, preventing positional bias at the outer periphery of the hypothetical cylinders. As a result, when the blocks are piled up to form a fence 10 for a flower bed A, a distorted projection will not be seen on the exterior wall each at a bent section. Therefore, the structure of the blocks has a high strength, and high freedom of the exterior designs for the fence 2.
