<p>The cupola, for mounting in a cutout in the roof, may be of large dimensions, and of the openable type, requiring provision for thermic expansion with reference to roof sheathing expansion, form fixture, sealing and thermic insulation, without excessive profile exposed to winds. A shaped-section unit is fastened to the roof, leaving an interval, and a peripheral flange of a transparent component of the light cupola protrudes into this, and is displaceable. The unit is pref. mounted immediately above the sealing layer. An elastic seal between the unit and the roof may contribute to the interval for displaceable setting of the flange. The transparent component may be attached to an openable hollow peripheral roof frame which has a seal.</p> |
