PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To absorb a sound generated by a compressor of an air conditioner and to facilitate a mounting operation of a strip-like reinforcing material by arranging the material having flexibility between an inner layer and an outer layer. SOLUTION: The sound absorbing material for absorbing a sound generated from a sound source by winding in a compressor, an accumulator or the like as the sound source of an air conditioner is formed in a double structure of an inner layer 5a and an outer layer 5b. A material of the layer 5a is a felt, and a material of the layer 5b is a rubber or a vinyl chloride. A strip-like reinforcing material 6 having flexibility is arranged between the layers 5a and 5b. As a material of the material 6, an aluminum or a stainless steel is adopted, and fixed between the layers 5a and 5b by an adhesive 7. Grooves perpendicular to a lengthwise direction are formed on both surfaces of the material 6 so as to be easily bent, thereby improving its operability. |
