PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide high comfortability for a user as much as possible, as well as to provide high safety in a collision condition as much as possible, by improving a seat for a vehicle having a supporting part, a back rest connected to the supporting part and integrated with a head rest, and a seating part with a seat face. SOLUTION: This seat has a supporting portion for a back rest 2, in which the back rest 2 receives an influence of force generated based on an impact in a rear collision to be movable from a prescribed initial position to a safty position by a user of the seat, in which a supporting part 8 is arranged on an upper side of a seat face while keeping a space with respect to a force introducing portion introduced with the force from a pelvis region to the back rest 2, and which is provided with an effective lever arm.
