PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform excellent electric discharge cut machining at all times while the relative positional relation of an actual work with the position of each cutting wire is being kept proper. SOLUTION: In this machining method where the plural number of cutting wire portions W1, W2,... are formed, while voltage is being applied between each cutting wire portion and a work 28, the work 28 is cut so as to be fed by means of electric discharge cut machining, discharge voltage is detected between the work 28 and each wire portion W1, W2,..., and based on the detected voltage, the aforesaid cutting and feeding operations are thereby controlled.
