PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the fear that sheet-shaped members are damaged by the process of feeding the sheet-shaped members. SOLUTION: A suction pad part 70a is put into first swing motion by a first angleω1 in almost the direction of one end of the leading sheet-shaped member 1a, from the time when the suction pad part 70a sucks the leading sheet-shaped member 1a facing the outlet opening 45 of a stocker 38 to the time when this suction is canceled, and then the suction pad part 70a is put into second swing motion in the opposite direction by a second angle that is greater than the first angleω1. Thereby the process of sucking and taking the sheet-shaped members 1 out of the stocker 38 in sequence by use of the suction pad part 70a and feeding the sheet-shaped members 1 taken out to a predetermined position 92 by means of the suction pad part 70a can be always smoothly and surely performed, eliminating the fear that the sheet-shaped members 1 are damaged. Also, the number of sheet-shaped members 1 that can be taken out of the stocker 38 and fed to the predetermined position per unit time can be increased.
