Then, the electromagnetic coil 13 is connected to an excitation circuit 25 of a vibration means 27 via the switching circuit 28, an already charged capacitor that is separately prepared by an impulse generation source 24 is discharged, and the discharge current is fed to the electromagnetic coil 13 for excitation, thus vibrating a Foucault pendulum. Since the vibration mechanism is not in contact with the Foucault pendulum, a vibration device can be installed easily regardless of whether it has already been installed or is to be installed newly. In this case, a heavy weight 15 is composed by a magnetic material in a symmetrical shape for the axis of a suspension wire and the optimum vibration position of conduction can be obtained according to the impedance change of the electromagnetic coil 13.
