PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the troublesome in work for removing a binder and to improve the convenience by alternately arranging binder-applied areas and binder non-applied areas, making the widths of both areas constant and specifying the ratio of the widths. SOLUTION: A backing material is held by a binder in a tape part brought in contact with a material to be welded at both end parts of an adhesive tape during welding. The binder need not be applied to the whole area to hold the backing material during the welding. Binder-applied areas and binder non-applied areas are alternately arranged. In this case, the widths of binder-applied areas and binder non-applied areas are kept constant. Preferably, the widths of the binder-applied areas are 2 to 20 mm, the widths of the binder non-applied areas where no binder is applied are 2 to 20 mm and the ratio of the width (area) of the binder-applied area to that of the binder non-applied area is 0.5 to 4.0.
