PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the lowering of suction force and to reduce suction defectives of a work by providing a contact preventing member within a suction pat so as to prevent a soft work from entering into the suction pat due to deformation of this work and from contacting the bottom of the suction pat provided with an air intake port, when the work is sucked by the suction pat. SOLUTION: A suction pat 11 of such a shape that a container is turned upside down has a suction part 12 spreading downward on a lower part. At the center part of an upper bottom 13, an air intake port 14 leading into the suction pat 11 is provided. At the inside of the suction pat 11, four props 16 as contact preventing members preventing a work 15 from contacting the upper bottom 13 are projectingly provided toward an opening surface 17 of the suction pat 11 on the upper bottom 13 of the suction pat 11 so as to surround the air intake port 14 in the vicinity of the air intake port 14. Even if the work 15 is deformed, enters into the suction pat 11 and is going to contact the upper bottom 13 of the suction pat 11 when the soft work 15 is sucked by the suction pat 11, this contact can be prevented by the props 16.
