APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR ATTENUATING VIBRATION AND HYDRAULIC INJECTION MOLDING MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a noise by attenuating a vibration generated by an injection molding machine. SOLUTION: The apparatus for attenuating a vibration comprises an elastic member 60 for absorbing and dissipating a vibration energy generated by a hydraulic fluid pump 20 of an injection molding machine 10. As the member 60, a flexible diaphragm, a spring mounting plate or all compressible materials can be used. The member 60 can be disposed adjacent to a fluid cushion 70 for further dissipating he energy. The member 60 is disposed in a hydraulic fluid line 30 communicating from a hydraulic fluid storage tank 40 with the pump 20. The apparatus can be used for a method for reducing the vibration and a noise in the machine or all the other devices for generating a noise by a hydraulic pump having a suction line for transmitting the noise to an oil supply tank.
