PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce temperature coefficient as well as to attain a high dielectric constant, a high Q value, a reduced loss and downsizing and to stabilize those characteristics by specifying the composition of a material consisting of Bi2O3, Nb2O5 and Al2O3. SOLUTION: This dielectric porcelain composition is represented by the formula xBi2O3.yNb2O5.zAl2O3 (where 43.5<=x<=49.5, 44.0<=y<=52.0, 1.0<=z<=8.0, x+y+z=100 mol% and 0.9<=x/y<=1.0) and 0.25-0.50 pt.wt. CuO and 0.50-0.75 pt.wt. V2O3 may be added to 100 pts.wt. of the composition. The composition has a dielectric constant of 33-43, a Q value of >=6,500 and <=0±30 ppm/ deg.C temperature coefficient. The composition is obtained by low temperature firing at <=1,000 deg.C but the firing temperature can be reduced to <=890 deg.C by selecting the ranges of the additives. The composition is suitable for use as a material for a dielectric filter, a resonator, etc., used in a microwave region. |
