<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propagate a tuberous root in a large amount, suppressing the probability of generating mutants, and also reducing the labor for separating roots by culturing a plant body or a tissue of the tuberous root in a specific liquid medium. SOLUTION: This method for propagating a tuberous root comprises culturing a plant body 4 or a tissue of the tuberous root in a liquid medium 3 capable of easily forming nodes at their root parts 21 to form a bud at the nodes of the root part 21 for regenerating the plant body 4 from the bud. In this case, it is preferable to perform a shaking culture of the plant body 4 or its tissue in the liquid medium 3, and also to regenerate the plant body from the bud by loading the plant body 4 or the tissue on a supporting stand and keeping it as capable of making a contact with the liquid medium 3 intermittently.</p> |
