<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an imaging element array arranged with a plurality of equivalent imaging elements integrally in which sufficient optical performance is attained by providing each imaging element with two total reflection faces for introducing luminous flux from an incident face to the outgoing side and employing nonarcuate incoming and outgoing faces thereby enhancing the imaging performance. SOLUTION: Each imaging element constituting a roof prism lens array 1 has an incoming face 2 located on the light emitting element side, i.e., the incident side, and an outgoing face 3 located on the side of a plane to be scanned, i.e., the outgoing side, wherein the incoming and outgoing faces 2, 3 have nonarcuate shape. The imaging element is also provided integrally with two total reflection faces 4 for introducing luminous flux from an incident face 2 to the outgoing side. Two total reflection faces 4 constitute a roof mirror making an angle of 90 deg. each other and inclining by 45 deg. against the incident optical axis. Furthermore, an aperture array for removing flare light is provided at least between a light emitting element array and an imaging element array or between the imaging element array and the plane to be scanned.</p> |
