PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the fire spread, smoke damage, etc., to upstairs/downstairs areas by screening ejected stuffs from a fire outbreak area between the upstairs area and downstairs area when a fire breaks out in a high-rise building, etc. SOLUTION: A screening mechanism 10 is arranged in the vicinity of a boundary part between partitioned areas on a plurality of floors in the vertical direction of a building. The screening mechanism is stored in a standby condition in the vicinity of the boundary part in a normal condition, while it is jumped out in the direction to screen ejected stuffs from a fire outbreak area toward an outwardly extended space part of the boundary part between the fire outbreak area and upstairs/downstairs partitioned areas when a fire breaks out.
