PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To omit a leaf spring for undetachably holding a parking brake cable in a first lever member in a cable perpendicular pulling parking brake having first and second lever members connected rotatably around a connecting pin parallel to a parking plate and engaged with a pair of brake shoes and adapted to actuate a parking brake by pulling the parking brake cable connected to the first lever member in a direction perpendicular to the parking plate. SOLUTION: A round bent part 78 is provided in one end part of a first lever member 74, and a parking brake cable 40 is inserted from the side of its second opening part 78b. When the cable 40 is pulled while the hooking member 68 of its tip is protruded from a first opening part 78a, the rear end of the hooking member 68 is engaged with the first opening part 78a and the first wide end edge 86a of a guiding part 86, and moved along the slopes thereof to reach a cable hooking part 84, and undetachably hooked. |
