REFUSE GASIFYING FURNACE AND GASIFYING AND MELTING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent combustible gas or char from being abnormally burned in a furnace by advancing atmospheric air having a high oxygen concentration (21%O2) into the furnace at the time of pressure reducing to an atmospheric pressure or less. SOLUTION: In the refuse gasifying furnace 22 for gasifying a refuse 13 in a low concentration oxygen state, a bursting plate 16 for abruptly exhausting a thermally decomposed gas into the atmosphere at the time of raising a pressure in the furnace 22 to the atmospheric pressure or higher and a check valve 14 for preventing an abrupt combustion caused by a reverse flow of the air in the furnace 22 are provided at a top of the furnace 22. Thus, it is prevented that the atmosphere containing oxygen of a high concentration (21%O2) flows into the furnace 22 and the thermally decomposed combustible gas containing much high temperature combustible components flow in the refuse gasfying furnace and is ignited. A heat transfer to the bursting plate 16 is prevented by providing a cooling means 15 at piping between the valve 14 and the plate 16.
