摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the material for an Fe-Ni lead frame excellent in etching characteristics such as etching working precision, working velocity or the like. SOLUTION: This material is composed of an alloy contg., by weight, 30 to 80% Ni, and the balance substantial Fe, in which, in the regions of the center of the sheet thickness and at least to >=80% of the sheet thickness, the X-ray intensity ratio between (100)<001> which is the cubic orientation in the (111) pole figur in the normal direction of the sheet face and (221)<212> which is the twin direction thereof (X-ray count number ratio) Ir: (100)<001>/(221)<212> is 1.0 to 15. The main componental compsn. of the alloy is desirably composed of, by weight, <=0.1% C, <=0.5% Si, <=1.0% Mn, <=0.5% Cr, 40 to 60% Ni, and the balance essential Fe with inevitable impuritis.
