PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a punching device having high work efficiency and excellent in removing chips after punching, in a punching device for punching a web-like article. SOLUTION: A punching device 6 is provided with a roller 2 arranged on one surface side of an article 1 rotatably around a shaft 2a extending in the width direction of the article 1, cylindrical blade bodies 3 arranged on the front surface of the roller 2 and for punching the article 1 while facing the article 1 with the rotation of the roller 2, and an anvil roller 4 arranged in the position facing the roller 2 across the article 1 rotatably around a shaft 4a extending in the width direction of the article 1 and for receiving the tips of the blade bodies 3 which has punched the article 1 by its front surface 4b. The hardness of the tip of each blade body 3 is lower than that of the anvil roller 4.
