PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely supply a blank to be worked into a prescribed position and to easily enable correspondence even in the case of changing the dimension of the blank by constituting with one pair of pinching members which receive and hold the blank conveyed and slid down in a chute with a holder and can pinch and hold the blank in the very low pressing condition of the holder shifted to a forging press and have inclining surfaces lowered at the surface side faced to the upper surface. SOLUTION: The holder 20 is set at the blank receiving position just below the chute and low pressure air is supplied into air cylinder 25, 25 and one pair of pinching members 21, 21 are lightly pushed, and both end edge parts thereof are mutually abutted and the center parts thereof are positioned in the state apart by V notching parts. The blank W conveyed and slid down through the cylindrical inner part of the upper and lower guides in the chute, is abutted on the abutting positions of the pinching members 21, 21. Since the inclining surface opened upward is formed in the position mutually faced in the pinching members 21, 21, the pinching members pushed with weak force are forcibly opened with the gravity of the blank W and the blank is laid on an insert-filling base between both pinching members.
