PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lubricating oil composition which has an excellent frictional resistance property and an excellent corrosion prevention performance without forming an insoluble content in the lubricating oil even in a use in a harsh environment by adding an organic phosphorus compound and a benzotriazole derivative to the base oil of a lubricating oil. SOLUTION: At least one phosphorus compound of formula I and at least one benzotriazole derivative of formula II or III are added to a base oil selected from a mineral oil, a synthetic oil and a fatty oil. In formula I, R1 is a 1-24C hydrocarbon; R2 and R3 are each H or a 1-24C hydrocarbon; R4, R5 and R6 are each a 2-5C alkylene group; (a), (b) and (c) are each 0-24; and (d) is 0 or 1. In formula II, R7 and R8 are each H or a 1-12C hydrocarbon; and X1 is H or a halogen atom. In formula III, R9 and R10 are each H or a 1-24C hydrocarbon; R11 is each an alkylene group; X2 is H or a halogen atom; and Y is H, a 1-12C hydrocarbon or a group of formula IV. |
