PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil applying device for a wheel of a rolling stock capable of applying a requisite quantity of oil to applicable positions when the rolling stock is passing a curve and preventing coasting originating from excessive application of oil while emission of squeaking sounds and the wear are precluded. SOLUTION: An oil applying device 21 for a wheel of a rolling stock supplies oil to wheels fixed to the two ends of each axle of the rolling stock, wherein a pneumatic drive lubricating pump 39 is provided to discharge the oil upon receiving the compressed air supplied. Control means 31 and 35 control the supply of compressed air to the pump 39. Nozzles 67 are connected with the oil discharge port of the pump 39 and inject the oil discharged from the pump 39 to the flange of each wheel.
