A window balance arm is moulded in one piece from a superpolyamide plastics material, and comprises a blade I having a central journal 2 and end journals 7, 8. End bearings 13, 14 are spaced by integrally moulded bosses 11' from the bar, a central bearing 12 being spaced therefrom by a boss 4 on the arm 1 opposite a boss 3. In a modification, Fig. 4 (not shown) a boss (11) at the base of the journals 7, 8 replaces bosses 11' on the bearings 13, 14. In both embodiments, journals 2, 7, 8 are each moulded with a groove in which seats a clip 10 to retain the bearing in position. |
