PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus which can freely change a measuring part position by self-running on the surface of a slant or vertical steel plate, polish the object part position of a steel plate to be measured, spread liquid of grease or the like, and automatically measure the plate thickness. SOLUTION: A polishing mechanism 41 polishing a plate type body, a coating mechanism 43 spreading liquid on the plate type body, and an ultrasonic probe 45 measuring the thickness of a plane type body are collectively formed in a unified body with a moving body 1 capable of self-running along the surface of the plate type body. A transferring mechanism 34 which sequentially replaces and positions the polishing mechanism 41, the spreading mechanism 43 and the ultrasonic probe 45 in the same part position on the surface of the plate type body, and a magnet for making the plate type body attract the moving body 1 are installed in the moving body 1. |
