PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To absorb and relieve the impact by the strong external force by journalling an input shaft on one side upper case part, journalling a counter shaft on the other side lower case part, journalling an output shaft, and connecting the one side upper case part to a transmission case by a mounting bolt. SOLUTION: A transfer case 44 is divided into a front side upper case part 82 located at an upper part while directing to the longitudinal front side of a vehicle and a rear side lower case part 84 located at a lower part while directing to the longitudinal rear side of the vehicle. An input shaft 46 for inputting the driving force from a transmission 12 is journalled on the front side upper case part 82. A counter shaft 48 for transmitting the driving force from the input shaft 46 is journalled on the rear side lower case part 84, an output shaft 50 for transmitting the driving force of the counter shaft 48 to a propeller shaft is journalled, and the front side upper case part 82 is connected to a transmission case 24 by a mounting bolt 86.
