PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a paste resin composition having high viscosity-reducing effect, causing little variation in viscosity with time, enabling the reduction of the amount of diluent and having excellent processability, and a viscosity- reducing agent to be used in the composition. SOLUTION: The objective viscosity-reducing agent is produced by compounding (A) a sorbitan fatty acid ester having an 8-22C acyl group with (B) a polyoxyalkylene alkyl or alkenyl ether having an 8-20C alkyl or alkenyl group at an A/B weight ratio of 10/90 to 90/10. The paste resin composition contains the viscosity-reducing agent, a synthetic resin and a filler.
