PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a slip off preventing structure of a hinge shaft by constituting a bearing part supporting the hinge shaft provided on a rear part of a cover by being provided with a horizontal hole part holding one end of the hinge shaft and a keyway-shaped groove holding the other end. SOLUTION: In a rice cooker in which a cover 3 freely openably/closably covering an upper surface opening part of a rice cooker body is freely openably/ closably supported by a hinge part provided on an upper part of the rice cooker body, the cover 3 is provided with a spring fixing part 6 fixing a hinge spring 5 energizing the cover 3 in an open direction and a hinge shaft 7 pivotally supporting the hinge part is provided at the rear part of the cover 3. A bearing part for supporting the hinge shaft 7 is formed by being provided with a horizontal hole part 8-a inserting and holding one end 7-a of the hinge shaft 7 and a keyway-shaped groove 8-b press-fitting and holding the other end 7-b. The keyway-shaped groove 8-b is formed by an opening part with taper which spreads in a lower surface direction of the cover 3 and a binding part formed at the depth of the taper. As a result, separate parts for fixing the hinge shaft 7 are not needed, and an assembling is simplified.
