PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent a gas or the like from leaking by lowering a stress induced in a seal part. SOLUTION: In a seal box structure in which a seal box 5 is provided in relation to a furnace wall 3 and a pressure vessel 2 constituting a gasification furnace 1, an outer cylinder 8 is disposed concentrically within the seal box 5, a support plate 9 supporting the outer cylinder 8 is disposed and a burner 4 inserted into the outer cylinder 8 through a gland packing 12 is disposed in such a manner as to pierce the pressure vessel 2 and the furnace wall 3, a tip end part 8a of the outer cylinder 8 is formed in a linear shape in parallel with an inner wall face 6a of a trunk part 6 of the seal box 5, and the tip end part 8a of the outer cylinder 8 is secured to the support plate 9.
