PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent reduction of a filling efficiency of air in an internal combustion engine by providing a thermal insulation plate extending in parallel with a lower surface of an air cleaner on a part protruded from a longitudinal side surface of an internal combustion engine in a lower surface of an air cleaner so as to form a ventilating passage extending in the fore-and art direction of a vehicle. SOLUTION: An air cleaner 10 is arranged on an upper surface of an internal combustion engine so as to be connected to an intake manifold 7. The air cleaner 10 is arranged in such a constitution that a leading-in duct of atmospheric air is connected thereto and its one part is protruded forward from a forward longitudinal side surface 6 in right and left both longitudinal side surfaces 5, 6 of an internal combustion engine. A thermal insulating plate 11 extending in parallel with a lower surface 10a of the air cleaner 10 is arranged on a part protruded from the longitudinal side surface 6 of a lower surface 10a of the air cleaner 10 so as to form a ventilating passage 12 extending in the fore-and art direction of a vehicle between the thermal insulating plate 11 and the lower surface 10a of the air cleaner 10. The thermal insulating plate 11 is connected to a rib plate 13 fixed to the lower surface 10a of the air cleaner 10.
