PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a coated paper for printing, having a high offset printability, especially a good impression, a high surface strength and a high printing gross, and a good coatability, especially capable of being coated with a blade coater at a high speed, and to provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: This coated paper for printing, coated with a coating liquid containing a pigment and a binder as main compositions over a raw material paper consisting of a pulp as a main raw material, is obtained by coating a coating liquid blended with a copolymer latex having 50-90 nm mean particle diameter in 5-15 wt.% based on the total solid portion of the coating liquid, over the raw material paper having <=30 g/m2 cob size degree. Also, the method for producing the same is to coat the coating liquid having <=70 mPa.m high shear viscosity, and <=65 g/m2 amount of dehydration by an AA-GWR under 50 kPa pressure and at 60 sec measuring time over the raw material paper.
