PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reel body of a double-bearing reel, hardly proving the restriction of a design, and facilitating the production. SOLUTION: This reel body 1 of a double-bearing reel has a reel frame 5 and a pair of side covers 6, 7. The reel frame 5 has a couple of side plates 10, 11 arranged at an interval in the axial direction crossing the longitudinal direction so as to be separated, having rimmed parts 10a, 11a protruding in the outer axis direction on the edge part of the outer side face, and plural connecting members 12 connecting the both side plates 10, 11. The side covers 6, 7 cover outer parts of a couple of the side plates 10, 11, respectively. The side covers 6, 7 covering the side plates 10, 11 having the formed rimmed parts 10a, 11a are formed so as to fit in the insides of the rimmed part-forming parts.
