摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently charge a battery on a vehicle when the SOC of the battery is lowered. SOLUTION: An engine 1 is coupled through a torque converter T/C2 to a motor generator M/G3 coupled to an automatic transmission A/T4. If the SOC(state of charge) of a battery 41 is lowered, the output power of the engine 1 is increased so as to allow the motor generator M/G3 to serve as a generator for generating power. The rotational frequency and the torque of the engine 1, the slip rate of the torque converter T/C2, and the rotational frequency and the torque of the motor generator M/G3 are controlled by an ECU 100 in order to obtain a maximum power generation efficiency.
