PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of a pseudo latching phenomenon and to reduce a releasing force when a tongue plate is pulled out. SOLUTION: This buckle device is provided with a latching plate 14 moved between a locking position for locking a tongue plate and an unlocking position for releasing this locking and having an opening part 43 roughly in its center, and an auxiliary locking member 16 supported on a base 11 to control the movement of the latching plate 14. The auxiliary locking member 16 is provided with a pin 30 supported on the base 11 so as to be moved, and a roller 40 rotatably provided roughly in the center of the pin 30. At least a part of the roller 40 is housed in the opening part 43 when the latching plate 14 is in the unlocking position, and when the latching plate 14 is in the locking position, the roller 40 is moved onto the flat surface part 46 of the latching plate 14 to regulate the latching plate 14 in the locking position.
