PRINTER WITH TRANSPONDER CHIP DRIVER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a printer for printing a data carrier containing at least one transponder chip in which a data can be read out or written in quickly and easily from/to the transponder chip by providing a transponder chip driver. SOLUTION: A strip applied with a large number of labels 23 and having a supporting web 22 made of silicon is wound around a supply reel 21 and fed out therefrom while being guided by a print head 4. An integrated antenna and a transponder chip connected with the antenna are contained between the supporting web 22 of each label 23 and an upper layer while being clamped. When the strip is carried to be wound around a take-up reel 9, arbitrary information is printed onto the upper layer by means of the print head 4 and a data is written for the transponder chip in each label 23 through the antenna 20.
