PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a fireproof rubber composition in which a rubber material difficultly being fed into an extruder even in a crushed state in a conventional way can stably and continuously be fed without previously being crushed and neutralized, thermally expandable graphite can be kneaded without its collapse in an extruder, and also to provide a method for producing a sheet made of the fireproof rubber composition. SOLUTION: The method of this invention is as follows: (1) quantitatively feeding a rubber material into an extruder; (2) quantitatively feeding an inorganic filler continuously into the extruder at the same position as that where the rubber material is fed, or on a downstream position from that where the rubber material is fed and on an upstream position from that where a neutralized and thermally expandable graphite is fed; (3) quantitatively feeding a phosphorous compound continuously into the extruder at the same position as that where the inorganic filler is fed, or on a downstream position from that where the inorganic filler is fed and on an upstream position from that where the neutralized, and thermally expandable graphite is fed or at the same position as that where the neutralized, and thermally expandable graphite is fed; and (4) kneading them. |
