PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a taxane-type diterpene such as taxol or the like, which can cope with increase in quantity demanded, can be carried out at a low cost and can preserve the environment. SOLUTION: A taxane-type diterpene is took out by extracting, isolating and purifying callus prepared through a tissue culture method of needle leave of Taxus cuspidata Sieb et Zucc. or Taxus cuspidata Sieb et Zucc. var. nana Rehder which have been collected in the season when monthly mean temperature for a month before being collected is <=180 deg.C. The culture medium includes at least one kind selected from a group consisting of 1-naphthylacetic acid, 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid, 4-chloroindole-3-acetic acid, methyl jasmonate and an oligosaccharide more preferably. |
