PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the need of removing fungi while suppressing choking of drain by providing a UV-ray generating means for irradiating a heat exchanger disposed in the body with UV-rays. SOLUTION: An arcuate heat exchanger 4 is disposed at specified position in an indoor unit 1 having an air inlet 2 and an air outlet 3. A UV-ray lamp 5 is disposed at a specified position in the curve of the heat exchanger 4. A UV-ray generating means is disposed on the upstream side of air flow with reference to the heat exchanger and proximately thereto. Distance between the UV-ray generating means and the heat exchanger 4 is set at 20 cm or less. Preferably, the UV-ray lamp 5 radiates light of 253.7 nm and the length of the lamp 5 is set substantially equal to the width of the heat exchanger 4. According to the arrangement, generated fungi perishes and proliferation of fungi can be blocked. Furthermore, choking of drain can be suppressed significantly.
