PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an epoxy resin composition which has excellent moldability and can give an article excellent in heat resistance, dimensional stability, and crazing resistance by mixing a phenol epoxy resin with another epoxy resin and a curing agent in a specified mixing ratio. SOLUTION: This composition comprises 1-99 wt.%, based on the entire epoxy resin, phenol epoxy resin represented by formula I, 1-99 wt.%, based on the entire epoxy resin, epoxy resin other than that represented by formula I, and 1-90 wt.%, based on the entire epoxy resin composition, curing agent. In formula I, R1 is H, a 1-6C hydrocarbon group, or a (1-6C hydrocarbon-group- substituted) 6-10C aromatic group; R2 is R1 or a group of any one of formulae II to IV; R3 and R4 are each R1; and n is 0 or 1. It is desirable that the epoxy resin other than that of formula I is a phenol epoxy resin, bisphenol A epoxy resin, a novolac (o-cresol novolac) epoxy resin, or a polyfunctional epoxy resin and the curing agent is an amine, an acid anhydride, or a phenol.
