PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fully automatically convey in/out wire rod coils of all sizes safely and efficiently by arranging a skid type conveying means provided with a coil tumbling prevention mechanism, an L-hook type conveying means, and a temporarily placing base in combination selectively in convey in/out equipment. SOLUTION: Respective conveying means ranging from a wire rod coil transferring position 14 on a line of a hook conveyor 13, an entry for storing equipment part 3, a stacker crane 6, a delivery for shipping equipment part 4 and a shipment fixed base 25 are intersecting upward and downward mutually by operation of each set control quantity, and wire rod coils are conveyed sequentially. In skid type conveying means 15, 17, 23, 24, 25, in which a wire rod coil is unstable, a coil tumbling prevention mechanism is moved to the wire rod coil end face position by operation of a set control quantity complying with a size of a received wire rod coil. On a delivery for shipping equipment part 4 side, a delivery for shipping carriage 20 and an L-hook type fixed temporarily placing base 21 are arranged. A single delivery for shipping carriage 20 repeatedly conveys out a wire rod coil from the stacker crane 6 so as to accumulate it on four L-hook type fixed temporarily placing bases 21 along a track, and then, the wire rod coils are conveyed out by means of an output side transferring mechanism 22 on each line.
