PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a packaging apparatus using a small amount of a packaging material without degrading cushioning and protecting functions. SOLUTION: The packaging apparatus includes a corrugated fiberboard box 7 for housing a ventilating fan 1 comprising an impeller 2 protruding on a front, a motor 3 protruding on a rear and a plurality of attaching legs 4 extending outwardly from an outer periphery of a middle of the motor 3 with free ends extending outward from the impeller 2 with the motor 3 located toward a bottom and with openings around the fan 1, a first cushioning member 8 made of a corrugated fiberboard for holding the ventilating fan 1 in a state where the motor 3 and the plurality of attaching legs 4 are fitted, and a second cushioning member 9 made of a corrugated fiberboard for surrounding an outer periphery of the impeller 2 of the fan 1. The cushioning member 8 is of a hollow structure which can be fitted over a bottom of the corrugated fiberboard box 7 and has a through-hole 11 for fitting the motor 3 and a base of the attaching legs 4 approximately at the center of a support face 10 on its upper face, while the cushioning member 9 has end faces on the support face 10 of the cushioning member 8 and on an internal face of a lid of the corrugated fiberboard box 7 for separating between the impeller 2 and free ends of the attaching legs 4.
