PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent occurrence of the undesirable deformation of a packaged item for its protection by relaxing a state in which unbalanced pressure is applied onto a packaged item via a sleeve cushioning body through the agency of impact load pressure during dropping of the package or the like. SOLUTION: There is provided with a rectangular packaged item. Then, a rectangular packaging case 10 is provided to accommodate the packaged item. A plurality of sleeve-like cushioning bodies 20 are prepared to be interposed between each corner portion of the packaging case 10 and each corner of the packaged item. Each sleeve-like cushioning body 20 is a rectangular sleeve-like body including a pair of longitudinal surface portions 22 being parallel to the vertical surface of the packaging case 10 and a pair of lateral surface portions 24 at right angles with these portions. Slits 29 extending in the direction along the plate surface of the longitudinal surface portion 22 are formed at the end portions along each sleeve axis and positions over the lateral surface portions 24 in the sleeve-like cushioning body 20. These slits 29 serve to weaken strength at the end portions of the sleeve-like cushioning body 20.
