<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption at a standby time. SOLUTION: The LED head 20 of a printer is constituted of a plurality of driver ICs 100. The driver ICs 100 are equipped with LED drive circuit groups 57 for driving LEDs of LED arrays 50 individually according to printing data, shift register circuits 53 and latch circuit groups 54 transmitting printing data inputted from a printing control part to the LED drive circuit groups 57 and control voltage generating circuits 101 forming control voltage for controlling the drive current to the LEDs and inputting the same to the LED drive circuit groups 57 and changeover circuits cutting off or short-circuiting current paths at a stationary time are provided to the control voltage generating circuits 101 and controlled by a standby mode control signal STBY-N.</p> |
